Services
Building Permits:
Energy Options will apply for building permits only when dealing with solar PV projects under the microFIT program. In all other cases, it is the responsibility to arrange for any applicable building permits.
Consultations:
When considering a Renewable Energy product purchase, especially if it involves the Feed-In Tariff program offered by the Ontario Power Authority, we strongly recommend an in-store consultation. There is no charge for this meeting and you will leave the store feeling well informed. Allow up to 90 minutes for this meeting.
Electrical:
Whenever we need to involve an electrician, only fully-licensed tradespeople are engaged.
Financing:
Payments for any products can be made via cash / cheque / interac / Mastercard / Visa.
Installations:
All installations are carried out by our own licensed and trained technicians. Our staff is covered against injury by WSIB - Workers Safety Insurance Board and has been certified for working on roofs through Falls Arrest Training.
Insurance:
Energy Options is insured through the Dominiom of Canada Insurance Co. We carry $2,000,000 in liability insurance along with specific project coverage on equipment.
Plumbers:
Whenever we need to involve a plumber, only fully-licensed plumbers are engaged.
Service / Maintainance:
Most products require annual service / cleaning. This will improve the efficiency of your appliance and minimize the chance of failure when you least expect it. Regular service saves money! If you want to schedule a regular annual service, contact our Service Manager.
Site Visits:
Prior to quoting on any product, we will have a senior technician visit your home to assess the situation. The information gathered will be used to answer the questions and prepare a detailed quote. There is no charge for this service.
WETT Inspections:
We do perform WETT inspections upon request. The inspection would include the wood-burning appliance, venting, hearth, back wall etc to ensure it meets the 'Certified Manufacturer's Instructions' for that particular appliance. There is generally a flat rate for this service depending upon travel time. Products that Energy Options sells and installs are automatically WETT approved.
